School Age Swimming
Building confidence through enjoyment
Building confidence through enjoyment
Our school-age swimming lessons run Monday to Thursday, from 4pm–6pm, with each lesson lasting 30 minutes. Children can enjoy lessons on either a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.
For 2:1 lessons, we carefully pair your child with another swimmer of a similar age and ability, creating a fun, supportive environment where they can build confidence and develop their skills together.
We follow the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) International Learn to Swim Programme, alongside the popular STA Distance Awards, giving children clear goals to work towards and plenty of opportunities to celebrate their progress.
Children will initially work towards swimming 5-metre lengths of the pool, developing their water confidence, technique and stamina. As they progress and are ready for the next challenge, they can move onto our resistance machine.
The resistance machine is a fantastic way to develop strength, stamina and swimming technique, while also allowing us to accurately monitor the distance they swim. This means children can work towards achieving their distance badges, providing a great sense of achievement and motivation as they progress.
Our aim is to make every lesson fun, rewarding and confidence-building, helping children become stronger, more capable swimmers while enjoying every step of their swimming journey.
